my Story

I'm Makenzie - I married my lifelong crush in 2021 and we live on our ranch with the best pup, Maverick, 20 minutes east of Lacombe. 

 

Blessed with a childhood growing up on a mixed cattle and grain farm, my husband and I continue to farm and raise performance quarter horses, purebred and commercial cattle along side our families. Inspired by the incredible world we live on, I get to watch the sun set every night knowing I have done my part to successfully and sustainably feed the world. 

 

I have always been creative and took an early passion to drawing

and painting. BUT when I received my first camera for Christmas

my focus shifted quickly to my love of photography.

Being on the farm provided SO much opportunity to

capture life of all kinds in real time. Unposed and timeless.

What does a day in my life look like? A mad juggle

between by full time job, the ranch, and my photography

gig - and I wouldn't have it any other way!
